Having worked in the Financial Services sector since 1993, I qualified as a Mortgage and Protection Advisor 25 years ago and it feels like only yesterday.
I’m incredibly driven by the love of helping people buy their first home, next home or saving them money on their current mortgage. I like to know that my clients and their families have not only the best deal for them, but that they’re fully protected should the worst ever happen.
I’m so proud of the thriving team and client relationships we’ve built over the years, but to keep me refreshed I love nothing more than getting some well-earned fresh air with my dog and time with family and friends.

I’ve enjoyed working in the Financial Services sector for over 30 years now. I met Nichola when we worked together at Bradford & Bingley and I didn’t hesitate to join her when she set up The Mortgage Way back in 2012.
The thing I love most about my role is sharing the excitement with first-time buyers and home movers when they complete their purchase and receive their keys. It’s such a privilege ensuring existing borrowers get the best rates possible for their circumstances.
Travelling, walks in the countryside and spending time with family and friends recharges my batteries, ready for another exciting week ahead.

When I’m not at work, I’m busy juggling competitive horse riding and life on the farm with my Husband and two children.

With over 15 years’ experience in B2B sales, becoming a parent during the recent pandemic prompted an unexpected switch in focus to working in the Mortgage sector.
Having now worked with The Mortgage Way team as a Mortgage Advisor since Feb 2022 and I’m absolutely loving the switch!
Every day is different and it’s so satisfying helping people get on the property ladder or helping them get their dream home.
When I’m not busy helping clients, I can always find a bit of time for a spot of karaoke, netball and dog walks with my husband and our little girl.
Jane Poulton

I started work in financial services nearly 30 years ago, initially in savings and banking and then becoming a Mortgage Advisor 22 years ago. After taking a break following the arrival of my two children, I started working at The Mortgage Way in September 2012 as a mortgage administrator.
I enjoy helping the other advisors with their cases and making sure that everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
Outside of work, I enjoy meals out with family and friends and also going on dog walks.
